Hxnning David Williams

In the spirit of punk, Hxnning (they/them), from Vadsø, made their debut as a rap artist during the 2021 protests against mine waste dumpings in Repparfjord.

With over six years of experience in the humanitarian sector and a bachelor’s degree in Creative Industries Management from BI Norwegian Business School, they are obsessed with understanding the interplay between digital infrastructure, business, and society.

Through conscious rap, cyberpunk, and glitch-art, Hxnning uses hacking as an aesthetic to map how systems work, uncover vulnerabilities and unexpected possibilities, and use or reshape them in new ways.

In autumn 2025, Hxnning released their debut album, HEXA - an operating system for technology, Norwegianization, and doomscrolling. The project was described as “a manifesto for a new digital age, and a hard-hitting blow to everything we associate with Norwegian hip-hop in 2025.”

In 2026, Hxnning was selected as one of ten artists to participate in the prestigious ArtEx programme for outstanding young artists on the verge of a national or international breakthrough.
